The FPV system is gimmicky at best, and not worth the money. The camera does not have a wide enough field of view to drive it using just the camera (you need to have eyes on the tank), which defeats the purpose of the camera. In addition, there's no reference point to the tank chassis, so you don't know where the tank is pointing reference to the turret. Finally, the picture from the camera is dark, grainy, low fps, and poor quality with very noticeable lag. I found it nearly impossible to drive the tank around just using the camera without running into something. I tried various devices (iPhones and Android), but they all showed the same poor video images. All these FPV systems operate on channel 1 with no ability to change, so the more FPV tanks you have playing in the area, the more they interfere with each other and reduce quality even more. Finally, for self-installed FPV systems where you're supposed to connect to CN5 on the mainboard (Toucan installers connect theirs to LED6 which energizes with the power switch thus circumventing the G+S function of the remote which is supposed to turn the wifi on and off), FPV doesn't come back on after the engine automatically restarts after being hit 5 times in IR battle. The user must turn off the engine and then back on again with the remote's start-up button which is very frustrating during IR play. Toucan customer service says that my "tank is working well without any problem" despite this bug. When I asked why Toucan connects their FPV to LED6 when their instruction videos and the Heng Long TK-7.0 manual says to connect it to CN5, their response was, "This is because the tanks that come with PFV are factory upgraded versions, and their wiring design has been modified by the manufacturer. If you upgrade the FPV system yourself, you need to design the wiring yourself. So it will be different." I don't understand why Toucan connects it to LED6 (brake lights per TK-7.0 manual) when the main board is designed to have it connected to CN5 (wifi image transmission per TK-7.0 manual). Video below shows wifi functionality of T34 (on the left) with Toucan-installed FPV next to M4 (on the right) with FPV installed by me. I give it 2 stars because it technically works most of the time but with issues which don't seem to be of concern to Toucan. However, I don't recommend spending the money on it until significant improvements are made.
